
Anthony David Gonzalez was born on the 27th of February, 1976. He is an American football tight end. He played for 17 years with the National Football League. Considered to be one of the most outstanding tight ends ever, he is the NFL's all-time leading player in receptions and receiving yards for a tight end along with ranking third overall in total receptions. Gonzalez began his 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who picked him in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He also played for the Atlanta Falcons for five of the final seasons. Since his retirement in 2013 Gonzalez was an analyst on football for NFL on Prime Video and was previously with CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez finished his career with 14 Pro Bowl selections, the most for a tightend and second most in league history In addition, he was awarded six first-team All-Pros. He is known for his endurance and a rare fumble, Gonzalez appeared in 270 of 272 games during the regular season and lost just two fumbles on 1,327 touches. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
